Thank you.

October '2009'
Poor Curly has a quick 3 day showjumping lesson as he is needed to make up the numbers on the horsebox to go to Wales and the west.
Curly is such a good boy, at the age of 12yrs he has done alittle hunting and a sponsored ride but never any showjumping........... well that was all to change, on the monday he jumped around a small course of cross poles, on tuesday he jumped a small course of uprights and oxers, on wednesday he managed a course of fences with all the fillers and a gate and on thursday he was put on the horsebox and taken to a 3 day BSJA show
.
Curly jumped around every day never refusing a filler and even jumping the water tray, i think it all came as a bit of a shock to his system but being a boy boy that he is he won £30 which nearly paid for his stable.
I am waiting for pictures and when they arrive i will add them here.
------------------------------------------------------------
Curly's second outing is at Patchetts Equestrian centre.
Yet again all I can say is POOR Curly, he now had to jump indoors for the first time, yet another eye opener, as he entered the arena he could have a caption above his head saying "my oh my thats alot of jumps in a very small place, now where would you like to start"
Curly jumped his 1st British novice for 4 faults and he hadn't seen a showjump 3 weeks ago.

Sorry i haven't kept up with the news page, so much to do and so little time.
On Saturday 30th August 2008,
the UK Knabstrupper Association and the ZfdP had pleasure in holding the second UK Grading for Knabstruppers and other qualifying breeds.
The ZfdP (Zuchtverband fur deutsche Pferde) is a German breeding association founded in 1974, which holds stud books for a number of breeds – they hold the largest in the world for Knabstruppers. This event gave owners of existing ZfdP registered horses the chance to register and grade their offspring in the UK as well as encouraging non ZfdP registered horses to join this prestigious society.
The event started at 09.30hrs but some of us had opted to stay overnight at the venue – Moulton College Equestrian Centre, Northants – so we were up bright and early brandishing hosepipes and shampoo. There were a lot of ‘purple’ horses that morning... Bathed & plaited, passports were handed in and bridle numbers distributed. All we could do then was to wait our turn. The horses were presented individually to Herr Britze, judge with the ZfdP, in a magnificent indoor arena. Mares and their foals paraded through first followed by yearlings, 2yr, 3yr, 4yr and 5yr +. I have shown Mouse in hand for the last 3 seasons and she has been placed every time out but I didn’t want to jeopardise our chances at this event so employed Tim, a Professional Handler and he was brilliant, as you can see from the photos.
finally stood her up square in front of Herr Britze for his final remarks. His first comment was “she has a lovely kind face” and went on to say she was a good example of the modern Knab with good paces. He paused for what seemed an eternity before looking at me and smiling, said this was a Premium Mare! The audience clapped and I think I cried!! When the steward handed me the score sheet she remarked ‘good scores’. The horses were marked out of 10 for breed, conformation etc. Mouse scored: Type 8; Conformation 7; Walk 8; Trot 8; Canter 7; Overall Impression 8.

We feel it is very important to have the stallions swabbed at
the begining of each covering season, we also feel it is unfair
to expect mare owners to have their mares swabbed and not to
have done the stallions, this is the case at many studs please be
aware of this.
I am pleased to say all the stallion certificates have come back
negative at the begining of yet another covering season.
______________________________________________________________________________
Having been invited to Horse of the year show, it took an awful lot of planning,
who would look after the stallions, and who would look after the dogs, We got
there in the end.
Curly was on show for 11 hours a day,
he was extremly popular, it was amazing how many people that have the love for
horses also have an allergy to them.
There were several people that had very bad allergic reactions to horses that
spent
the time to brush curly and cuddle him,
things they can't normally do, one lady
was so excited she left in tears of joy.
