Colourthyme Stud.

How it all began:

My love has always been for showjumping,   I was very successful as a junior and continued with the winning streak, as I progressed into seniors. I have always been allergic to horses but my asthma has slowly got worse and I can no longer compete.

My plan was, that once i couldn't compete anymore, I would have a couple of stallions to stand at stud.

Trip to Denmark.

We booked a ferry from Dover to Dunque in our old leyland roadrunner, then drove 1200 miles to the far side of Germany to see a colt that I had spotted (excuse the pun) on the internet, after all that driving we finely arrived and didn't like the horse, so we set off back home. We then got a puncture, while waiting for a new tyre, I walked over to a shop and bought a horsey magazine in this I saw some colts that looked very nice, thinking that they would be in Germany I gave them a call, I asked "where about's in Germany are you" they replied "we are in Denmark" so once the tyre had been fixed off we went. We drove 18 hours through the night and finally arrived in Denmark. The colts were all very nice and I ended up bringing back a loud leopard spotted yearling and a few spot two year old Mikker.

My asthma got worse:

I had sold a foal to some very nice people, when they came to collect him they saw me suffering and suggested that I look into the hypoallergenic horses, well as you can imagine I thought they were having a laugh I didn't for one minute think there could be such a horse. I was wrong, in june 2005 I imported my first American Bashkir Curly, his name is Painted Dunn Deal he is just the most amazing horse that I have ever owned, I can brush, ride and cuddle him, I have no allergic reaction at all.
