Cavalier Royale
A Selle Francais x Holstein cross, the hottest in the world today, being responsible for such stars as Classic Touch, individual Gold at Barcelona and Ratina Z, individual silver and team gold with the Netherlands at Barcelona . Heroine of the World Cup Finals a few weeks later and Champion Jumper at the World Championships at the Hague in 1994, Cavalier is closely related to the two above stars.
During a successful career in Switzerland and on the continent, Cavalier graduated up the ranks to Grade A, and was a multiple Grand Prix winner. He also jumper 2m 15 (over 7 feet) in Puissance in Germany.
Sensational leading Sire in Ireland. The only sire to challenge the total supremacy of Clover Hill (probably the best stallion ever to stand in Ireland) in the Young Horse Championships at Millstreet From a stallion herd of 500, capable of producing a qualifier for the Young Horse National Championships including such world class performing sires as Cruising, Spring Elegance, Touch Down and Carrol's Flight, most stallion owners would be pleased with more than one qualifier!
Cavalier has had more winners and finalists of all the young horse championships than the progeny from any other stallion in Ireland. Cavalier's success in Ireland has been spectacular both on the performance circuit and in the sales ring. Cavalier stamps all of his stock with his own good looks and wonderful temperament. The are all spectacularly good movers and are very athletic and regardless of the dam they all seem to jump. He gets about 65% seal brown in colour like himself with usually very little white on them and approximately 35% rich bay, an occasional grey but no chestnuts. He transmits much more blood and quality than you would expect looking at him so this makes him a perfect sire for many typs of mares this also applys to Cavy's Boy.
Cavy's boy competed upto 1.50m himself with the
ability to do much more.
Now 17 yrs young has taken to stud duties.
